HAM Tag Unit 3b/3c Arizona

I was just gifted a cow elk tag for units 3b/3c from a veterans group in Arizona last night. It is for October 3-9 and I can use a handgun, archery or a muzzleloader. I'll be driving from Texas on October 1st. This will be my first time elk hunting. Any tips that y'all could give me would be greatly appreciated. I know that the Indian reservation is on the southern border and to definitely not trespass on it. Thanks.
