Half vs Full Tent Inserts

Wanting to buy a half or full insert for the Argali Absaroka. Before doing so just looking for some opinions from the field on why one of the other. Note: I do have a stove and use it with no liner during late season hunts; it works well. The liner is more for spring/summer application with my brother or my two boys.

Seems straitforward enough. Need the full liner for 2-3 people unless you enjoy being super cosy. The half would be better for one and the stove.

I bought the half insert and only used it in the summer once. I wish they’d incorporate a full floor one piece with a removable stove footprint (Tub style). I can’t stand laying on the floor or having gear on the ground inside the tipi. The full insert would be good for family camping trips in the summer or backcountry fishing where mosquitos are bad.

Edit: If you’re using a stove you don’t need a bug net. Food for thought.

I went with the full insert. I've used it multiple times for 2-3 people and it's been plenty roomy for 2 and 3 gets a bit tight. I also figure if it's cold enough for the stove, bugs shouldn't be enough of an issue for me to use an insert.

I agree that would be a great addition. Gear on the ground all night when it’s wet is not ideal.
Appreciate the feedback! I was leaning toward full insert anyway but you saying you barely use the half helps solidify.

Anyone use just the half floor piece with the stove? Or are you using a ground sheet with it? I tried a half insert and stove last year and wasn’t the biggest fan. Thought I was going to burn the mesh.
