Looking for someone that can toss a shouldered pre-fit on a stripped tikka action, any place I talk to is months out.

I’d ship you my tools if you want to do it. It’s super easy. If not I’d ship it down to Justin at Kinport peak in Pocatello. He’ll turn it around fast. If you want I can PM you his number.Looking for someone that can toss a shouldered pre-fit on a stripped tikka action, any place I talk to is months out.

For sure, great guys. I talked to them last week and they said that they are about three months out unfortunately! There's a Dude at Capitol Sports that does work behind the counter. I have ZERO exp with him or them.
But he said he could make me a Trapper lever action (Cut barrel and mag tube, and re dovetail ). Might ask.
Oh man, don’t want you to have to do that! I will do some more looking here in the area and if I cannot find any, I will definitely reach out to your contact! Sounds good. I have no problem sending them up if you can’t find anyone. I’m in Utah so shippings cheap. You just need the barrel vise and action wrench if you have a torque wrench and a table vise. Bought mine to share since my first tikka builds were with Rokslide borrowed tools.Oh man, don’t want you to have to do that! I’ve only had him cut and thread barrels, but turnaround time was fast and prices were more than fairIf your willing to travel, Try CJ Customs in Kalispell.

They do all work in the order they receive it- nobody gets to jump the line. I have had them do some work for me, and it is always done right. But they always have 2-4 months worth of work in the hopper.I have a hard time understanding why they’d be months out to torque a barrel to an action? Seems like there might be some miscommunication going on.
Get a barrel vice and do it yourself. It's pretty easy to swap barrels once you get set up .Looking for someone that can toss a shouldered pre-fit on a stripped tikka action, any place I talk to is months out.

I’m in Missoula. If there was someone within an hour who I trusted to cut and thread barrels quickly and cheaply, I’d drop off two barrels today. I don’t trust the cheap guys around here (bad experiences in the past) and I don’t want to pay the $190 to the guys who seem to do good work. How much interest in Montana for cut/thread, bed and install prefits is there out there? Looking at buying all of the necessary equipment to do this when my shop is done and being quick and very reasonably priced. Just a thought I had because I seem to frequently get quoted 2-3 months for a cut and thread.
