I’ve had similar experiences on gunbroker, it can be frustrating, but I’ve never been screwed over.

Keep in mind a lot of people on there are guys that may be deployed, working on oil rigs, etc.

People are busy and some guy buying a $100 barrel isn’t always their first priority, especially if they are just an individual getting rid of “junk.”

The whole payment/FFL thing is ancient technology as well. Call a phone number to get an address of where to send a money order. They have to call your FFL and put it in the mail. Dealer has to log into their books and hopefully the seller actually included your name and number.

Shouldn‘t apply to a muzzleloader obviously but it’s slow and tedious.

Scammers everywhere....

I got a call from a “debt collector” yesterday, told
Me I was past due. I let them know I’d call them back. After thinking about it I realized it must be BS....boats paid off, vehicles owned free and clear, snow Mobiles and 4 wheelers, free and clear, Credit cards paid off each month. The only debt is for the house but after looking at stuff, our payments are up to date.

Figured it’s a scammer and blocked the number.
