I absolutely love mine....and I feel like a badass walking around with it. It is so nice to have two free hands when I'm hiking. You almost forget the gun is there. Also, when hiking with a partner, I don't have to constantly reposition my gun to make sure the barrel is pointed in a safe direction as I move or he moves. I can't emphasize that enough. As I'm walking, while second nature, I'm always paying attention to where my barrel is pointing whether I have a partner or not.
When I first got it and threw it on my pack I loved how it felt with a shotgun but was a little leary about how it fit with a rifle with the scope under my armpit. The first time out hiking with it is all it took to realize that wouldn't be an issue. I don't notice it in my armpit. It took about 2 minutes to get used to it and 5 to forget about it completely. I've always used a sling in the past but with a kifaru a sling isn't exactly useful. These blow slings out of the water.
It took maybe a couple repetitions to practice unstrapping it and mounting gun to shoulder but after that it's a piece of cake.
