Guided Moose Hunt Recommendations

Going to plan a guided moose hunt in the next 5-10 years. Was wondering what guides and areas I should be looking at?

Like I said it’s a ways out and I will have time to budget/save for the hunt.

Just trying to set myself up for success as it will be a once in a lifetime type hunt. Thanks in advance.

5-10 years out areas, populations, pricing, outfitters, all that will change dramatically. Might want to have a list of 10 or more outfitters who offer the style and type of hunt you’re dreaming of. Once in a lifetime means your making one memory to die with.

Alaska hunts increase about 25 percent every four years. So approx in 8 years current moose prices will have jumped. A lot. Plan for 70k. I know some moose guys are already over 40k now and 10 years ago those were 15k. Feel free to pm me. I guide moose but I’m not trying to convince you to book with me. If I come up in your research then great. But I’m always up to answer questions or be helpful!

Not what you asked for, but I’d recommend picking out a good AK transporter, find a good hunting partner and book an outfitted DIY hunt. Do your research and you will be able to do 3 or 4 Moose hunts in that same timeframe if you wanted to.

Guides are great, I do guided hunts as well for some things. Did AK outfitted DIY Moose a couple years back with Renfro’s, and would recommend it. My buddy and I both got great bulls, and had a good time and looking to go back soon. 2 people is perfect in my opinion, plenty of help, and puts you in a more realistic place where both of you should have a great chance to get Moose.

Guided Moose hunts are now $30-$35k and increasing $3-5k annually due to low guide supply and high guide demand. I’d be scared to ask the price in 5-10 years……

what hunting mode you want to use? backpack, horse, atv, argo, boat and what kind of moose? that is a lot of questions before starting to answer.
for canada take the outfitters that use their own planes you will thank me ...
