Guided Dall Sheep - Bring my own spotter or just Bino's?

I'll stoke the fire. My sheep pack with rifle, minus first aid kit, water filter, eating equipment, and TI jet boil, would be well under 35lbs. That doesn't include what I would be wearing. And I would gladly allow my guide to carry everything else. Disclaimer: with a pain still in my wallet, every piece of that kit is high dollar, ultra light shit.

Day-in and day-out, no matter if it's spring or fall, my daily pack weight is about 57 pounds.

Wow......pretty entertaining stuff, guys. This was a simple question about bringing my own spotter. That's it......nothing more. There was some great input. Some, out in left field. Like the comment on "being worried about bringing a spotter.....than I must not have done much research on finding an outfitter". Huh??

Anyway, for all those who took the time to respond, from your experiences, I do appreciate it. It's my first sheep hunt, so your input has been very helpful. I hope to be able to provide pics and a story to you, when the time comes.

This is a tough decision with no right or wrong answer. It is nice to have one along to view game, but it is also nice to have a very light pack and keep your legs strong the whole hunt. At a minimum, you may want to have your spotter and tripod available to use if it is superior to what your guide has. If you knew what your guide has before traveling you could potentially leave both of yours at home.

Now that it's pretty certain I am going to bring a spotter, with weight being the major factor, will the Vortex Razor HD 11-33X50 be sufficient? I realize that there are others that are better, but all things considered, will this be adequate for viewing digiscoping, etc.
