My dad is in his mid-60's and an avid outdoorsman / adventurer, but not a big hunter. The one hunt he's expressed a desire to do is a caribou hunt in Alaska. I'm well aware of the DIY options, but think we would be better off with a fully-guided hunt. I plan to reach out to Jonah's Alaskan Outfitters, but appreciate any other guide recommendations. We'd be hoping to go in August or September 2025.

Thanks,
Jason in Texas

I went through Arrowhead Outfitters this past September and I would highly recommend them. We went to the south brooks range and it was fantastic hunting. This area is in the foothills of the mountains and isn’t the typical flat ground you see up north (photo). Some of the lower areas were tussocks, but it was possible to hike higher ground and it was easier walking. Also, we could’ve shot big bulls right from camp, which would make life easier for an older hunter.
