Grumman sizing for 5'8" 175lbs

As the title implies, my dad is a fit/athletic 5'8" 173lbs & 32" waist, what size Stone Glacier Grumman is best? Medium I am thinking? This is a VEST, not jacket.

Probably medium but be aware it's cut small at the waist and you need to consider what layers it needs to fit over.

Thanks, likley a generic base layer + a peloton 97 (sometimes), not sure that helps. He does have a lean/small waist compared to most.

I'm 5-7 and 180 . In Wear medium in everything. The Grumman fits perfect, although it is snug in the waist, but not overly tight at all. I wouldn't go for a large.

5’11” 175 and I wear a large mainly for the sleeve length. If I ordered the vest I would do a medium so you’re probably good with a medium.

I’m 5’8” and 170-175. Waist is 32-34in. I wear a large in the Grumman. I think the medium would be tight in the shoulders and a little short in the torso for my liking.

The large is a tad “too big” if I’m going for style but hunting I don’t like the feeling of clothes restricting me or jackets being “too short”. Also the large allows me to layer over an Ambient and doesn’t feel tight.

I should have clarified this is a vest if that makes a difference. He is a 32” waist. Maybe a touch tight is actually the better “error” given vests vent more air than a jacket?
