Grouse in the skillet

I keep a small game head in my quiver most of the time. Shot 4 or 5 grouse with it last year.

They are going to get broadheads from me this year. Its too frustrating to have one fly off after being hit with a judo.

Its even more frustrating to see them fly off with a BH tipped arrow.

Judos have always worked for me, easy to find too

Are you guys saying that you aren't getting pass throughs on a grouse? Are you all shooting stick bows?

I have shot quite a few grouse, it seems that sometimes on body shots the judo can almost "push" them and takes some feathers off. Now I go for head/neck shots which has resulted in more to eat.

For all of mine I try to make sure there is something behind it so that I can recover the arrow.
