Personally any time I can get elevated, I'm taking the opportunity. That being said I killed my biggest deer out of a ground blind and wouldn't hesitate to use one if the situation dictated it.
Been putting a blind on one of hunting made easy’s platforms. 8 foot legs. Elevation really helps but u r so much more comfortable. Am 68 and getting up and dow a tree stand is more challenging. 25 feet up a tree, no way
I have the rhino three man blind that I use with the kids. It sits out there for about three months of the season and going on its third season. Easy to fit comfortably in there with all three of us and we have shot deer out of there during archery and rifle. The main thing is having the wind blow toward you or at least crosswise. We have a ladder stand right next to it that I will use sometimes or my older kid might use. Good luck
