With all the other choices in carbon arrows out there, no, I don't think they're worth the expense. If you want a tapered carbon, I would look at the Arrow Dynamics line first. JMO.
You have to add the footing. If I remember right it's a piece of 2018. I use an inch and a half and glue it on over the point end with jb weld. Been shooting the same dozen for 6 years now and still have 8 or 9 left!
As far as carbons, I have used Grizzly Sticks (original ones when they were made in the USA) and Arrow Dynamics and I prefer Arrow Dynamics hands down. The Lites shoot best out of my bows. Actually, my #1 choice is tapper cedar arrows I make myself. Ted at Raptor archery is a great guy and has a down home traditional shop where he makes bows and sells archery supplies at very good prices. He is actually the inventor of AD. Ted will install inserts, nocks, etc all for the price of the of the items on his web site...not additional fees for the going above and beyond...unlike some of the commercialized traditional shops on the web these days. I believe he sells a test kit where you can get a couple of all the ADs so yo can see which shoot best out of your bow.
