Yup.

No one's forcing you to look at their photos. If you don't like it, then move on. I'm just thankful that people share their photos. There's quite a few sites out there that I've seen where people will barely even post a photo now thanks to all the forum critics.

I hate the floppy tongues myself too. Almost as much as a hunter staggering the rack with the animal between their legs. I think we owe it to the animal to take a respectable photo that doesn't look trashy

Not trying to change anti hunters minds, just trying to make everyone think twice about what a pic can do for the guys that are on the fence about hunting, or at least have thought they might could be one one day. I've met a ton of non hunters that are hunters today because of convo's about the meat or eating a well cooked wild game meal. And in today's hyper sensitive instagram everything world, guys are gonna post the pic. That's fine, just wipe off some blood and push in the tongue so that next time someone might say, yeah I'll try that.... instead of no I'll pass

It's just a tongue. I may or may not mess with it depending on if I feel like it. As for wiping blood off.....come on man. It's a dead animal. I like to show things for what they are when I take pics.

I don't like seeing the tongue hanging out and I am certainly not an anti. First thing I do upon recovery of an animal is slice it off.

I wouldn't even think about cutting the tongue out. I'm more of an experience guy, and take whatever I'm given. If the tongue is out......it's out. If there are NT points and stickers I don't cut those off either to clean it up.

I guess I won't post the pic of the buck I shot several years ago that jumped up in front of me and I instinctively just raised the gun and shot, and hit him in the back of the head and exited above his eye. The tongue was the least of anyone's worries. I'm usually offended when I see any dead animal pics.

I don't pay attention to the tongue being out, but I've never done a mount other than the skull. I guess hunting isn't about the way things look in pictures or on a wall, for me.

I was watching an elk hunting video the other day and the herd bull is riding this cow. And her tongue is hanging out the side of her mouth the entire time.

I haven't had a single archery kill with the tongue hanging out.

I hate pictures like this one that was posted on Facebook. It's definitely a trophy elk, and something to be proud of. But why would you sit 5 feet behind the elk for the picture. To change the scaling or perspective and make it look bigger than it really is. Looks really staged!!!!

I also hate forced perspective shots. Tongs out don't really bother me as much as forced perspective or sitting on the animal.

As far as mounting an animal with the tong out no I would do that or have it done with glazed over eyes. The mount is a representation of the animal alive not dead. A picture with a dead animal is a representation of the dead animal.

I really can't stand it when the hair is out of place. I thoroughly brush my animals before pics and expect everyone else to do it just like me.
