Grim Reaper Broadhead issues

Funny to see this..... I had the 100gr pro "black out" not open this year on a bull I shot at 32 yards.... sat there and watched him run to 500 yards and stand there arrow hanging out thought I was gonna watch him do a back flip..... I was wrong.... ended up having to back out go all the way up and around drop back in and shoot him two more times with heads that didnt open..... ended up finally manually opening the head and shooting it in the deployed position....
needless to say I have 1 2or so heads left..... anyone want a smokin deal on......

I cant find the "blackout" on Grim Reaper website. I wanted to check them out. Where did you get them?

Sample size of one, I killed a bull elk in September with the mini mag. ~30 yards. 520 grain arrow at 290fps. Pass through the golden triangle. Ray Charles could have followed the blood trail. I’ll have a mixed quiver or mini mags and 1 3/8” pro series in AK hunting moose next fall.

I will definitely have to try them then! My shop has talked very highly of them, it’s just hard to break away from the tried and true lol

Are positive they didn’t open from inspecting the internals of the bull?

If you don’t get a pass through, pulling the arrow out the critter will always close them. Same as pulling them out of the dirt after a pass through.

Entrance on every grim reaper I’ve killed with is usually between the size of a nickel and a quarter, because the blades open after passing through the onside hide. Exit holes are always impressive.

Also what’s your bow and arrow specs?
