Looking into possibly going to greenland for a combo muskox and caribou hunt. Any recomendations or suggestions? Anything to watch out for in Greenland? I have never traveled outside The US to hunt except to do a baited bear hunt in Canada.

I did some research on this hunt in the past year or so and mainly what I came up with was the cost of shipping hides and horns back to the conus was very pricey. That’s get kept me from booking

I went last year and hunted with Lings Hunting Greenland. I can't recommend them enough. Awesome little riverside camp. Great family run operation and one of the best hunts I've been on. Feel free to pm me if you want.

Were you able to get your meat and trophies back. If so, were the shipping cost and other fees reasonable?
Also, were you able to use your own firearms.
I was researching last year, as well. Hunt prices seemed reasonable, but I got the impression that the only meat I'd be eating was while I was there.
I dont mean to steal OP's thread, so maybe you could PM me. Thanks.

You can't bring home any meat. I assume this is ultimately tied to the Mammal Protection Act or whatever it is that protects whales and seals. Whale and seal hunting is very much still active in Greenland. I assume US customs would have a very difficult time distinguishing between muskox, caribou, whale, and seal meat. Only my assumptions though, sorry I don't have the facts.

I hunted with Inuit Outfitters. A family operation that was a fantastic experience. Their price includes shipping trophies back to the USA.
