Gravity Feeder Suggestions/Help

Interested in making a gravity feeder from pvc. Looking into as simple as just just strapping to tree just above the ground and letting it do its thing. To even a more sophisticated one that includes a barrel(feeder) on top and then funneling down to 2 sides or maybe even three feeder tubes if that makes sense. Anyone have any pictures or easy way to do this? I found all the things needed for really cheap and worth a shot. The second option, I Figured this would help keep hogs away since they wouldn't be able to reach feed.

I have attempted this before with pvc pipe and two things I learned.
Keep a cap on the top or it will catch enough rain to mold everything inside. I also found that the size of pipe needed to hold enough corn for even a week was prohibitively large.
