The Garmin Rhino 530 HCx is the one I have, and it is a great tool. Invaluable when your buddy has an animal down, and is having a hard time telling you where he is. I don't care for the bulk, and the rechargeable battery pack isn't the best option in the wilderness.

I have had zero issues with the battery in the 530HCx. It lasts longer than any one trip I could go on and I could keep it on the entire time if I wanted to. The weight is 10.4 ounces with the battery, so only a couple more than a regular one. I would not hesitate buy another or recommend this Garmin to anyone out there looking for a combo unit.

Thanks for all the input. That is great. I have a older rhino and like that it has the radio, but it is time for a change.
