GPS broken?

Hey guys,
I have had this Garmin Oregon 450t for ages and it has been great. I haven't used it that much but its always in my pack just incase or to mark specific way points. I went to turn it on the other day and the top of the screen won't display for some reason? Has anybody had this issue and can i get it fixed? I don't really want to buy a new one as i dont use it much and the money could be better spent else where if it is fixable.

FWIW years back I had one repaired by Garmin for a $100 flat fee.

Dead battery probably. When stored for long periods of time batteries often die after dropping below a specific voltage (usually 1.3V or so). If it drops below that voltage the battery is trash. You could attempt to find a replacement and do it yourself or pay Garmin to do it.
