Gould’s Turkey guides

Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on guided Gould’s turkey hunts? There are several seemingly good options for guided hunts in Mexico but I’d appreciate any personal experiences.

It was Awesome , in Chihuahua drove from Douglas. 5 hunters 7 birds in 2 days.

I went with Erwins Ronquillo- you can find good deals for that.

Lots of birds, would be too easy with a shotgun so my buddy and both shot 2 with bows

I hunted with Rio Sonora Outfitters a few years back. We were the first group for the season and 6 of us all got 2 toms. The house was just an old farmhouse and food was mostly good.

Did you take binoculars with you? Were they worth having? First time on a” guided” hunt not sure if they would be needed. Normally they are in my chest pack with calls and other items but not bringing on this trip.

I took mine a lot of open territory to glass. But you don’t need them to shoot a bird that’s for sure.

I never hunt worth or my bino pouch on and the rangefinder hooked to its side. Needed, probably not, but sure feel naked if I somehow for got it.
