Family bought me some Kiuiu stuff I won’t wear so now I’ve got some credit. In the market for a solid pair of gloves. My hands get insanely cold. I live in southern NM where it’s windy (50+ mph), cold, snow, all 3 at the same time, and even on a calm day the wind will blow. I like the glommit idea but open to suggestions.

TIA.

I have the expedition gloves and the glassing glommits. The glommits are great if you are sitting somewhere. I haven’t had the expedition gloves long enough to really opine on them but so far I like them.

Yukon gloves are good general use gloves and are waterproof with just enough warmth. Otherwise I’d skip the gloves and go for those Arktuk mitts, they look nice. Size up for some thin liners underneath.

Other Kuiu pieces worth while:
Pro Merino 200 bottoms
Kenia bottoms
Kutana pants
Attack pants (everyone needs a pair of these for just around the house/chores in winter)

I use and recommend the super down glomitt. I have only used down to 15 degrees so far however. I also wear merino FL fingerless underneath when glassing and stationary. Packable, durable, and warm.

I’d go with the Northstar Glommit. I have the Northstar gloves but wish I had bought the glommits. I like the idea of the glommit and wear a liner glove under them.
