1000% not hunting related, but I am in a dad's only Go Kart Racing Club. I know, I know, sounds lame, but it's actually quiet fun.
To my question. I'm currently running a stock Predator 212cc engine. With this engine, my kart burls a lot in the lower range (especially from a stop). I plan on dropping in a new Tillotson 212 stage 3, but know I will exacerbate the issue with an engine that allows more HP and RPM's.
So, I am thinking I will need to adjust gearing. Axle sprocket seems simple in the fact that a larger sprocket equals torque, and a smaller sprocket equals top end speed. So finding the perfect balance seems ideal.
Any dirt racers have any experience with what they found to be a perfect balance? Before I start buying and trying? Or any other tips?
