All sorts of labeling requirements, bans, and other regulations are coming into effect, all around the country, with various exemptions, compliance dates, and approaches. EPA also regulated PFAS in drinking water, and classified it as a hazardous substance under CERCLA. This has been known for years---not a huge surprise. Companies are going to scramble for awhile to try and comply with the patchwork of regulations. As I understand it, there are some promising non-PFAS materials, but none that are currently sufficiently available as a stand-in for all current products. So there's sure to be significant market disruption in the short term. Hang on to, and take care of, that rain gear!
