Visited a thrift store in a VERY small town here in Northern Minnesota this afternoon. I spied with my little eye…

I feel like we stopped in there a couple years ago when we forgot a pot while camping on the north shore. The only thing they had was an old mess kit and it worked perfectly.

Good luck finding good stuff here. Maybe not outdoors stuff, but I knew of a couple different women that I dated (I guess I had a type at the time), that knew when to cruise each store to skim the quality purses and clothing, and resold it online. One had a whole ebay storefront just from goodwill store finds and made a substantial (5 figures) side hustle yearly from it.

I found this picture for $1 at goodwill back when I was in college and I couldn’t leave it there. It’s been on my living room wall for the last 15 years. I have no idea who they are and my wife hates it so naturally it has to stay.

Am I the only one who did a google image search for this? Spoiler alert, rokslide didn’t populate in the results.

I’ve actually thought about doing a shareable fb post to try and find them but decided it might be weird trying to explain why I’ve had them on my wall for so long.

My wife stopped at a local thrift store yesterday. Scored a brand new pair of Sitka Gradient pants in Timber. $4.50. I’ll call that a win.

My best Goodwill score was 14 fly rods and cases for $330. The majority of them were Sage and G Loomis and one was a RL Winston that the local fly shop valued at $1200. They were all in like new condition. I have no clue why someone donated them, guessing someone passed away and the spouse got rid of them.

Did this as a grown-ass adult going back to college full time after separating from the military. Between the GI bill and reselling, I think I averaged more than when I was in lol. Supported a family for the few years until I graduated.
