Hi guys,
I asked around on another forum and also called GT.I got some great feed back. From that , I wanted to narrow down my thoughts here with u guys that I know are spot and stalk hunters with longer shots. Meaning 60-70 hunting and 130 or so practice /3d. I'm looking for a one does it all arrow if possible?
I shoot @67 pounds , 30.5 inch draw with a 29 inch arrow.
I made up some GT kenetics last week. They came out at 468 grains shooting 276fps. FOC of only 9%. So, I can't add front weight to gain FOC with out slowing. Down the arrow. Not really what I want to do.
So, I think what I'm gonna do it build some velocity or ultralights 8.8 & 8.5 gpi respectively. This will allow me to start with a light weight arrow and built it up to some where between 460-490 grains.. The advantage is a lot of that weight will be up front giving me my desired FOC around 13-16 %.
I shoot a slick trick magnum
Anyone have any thoughts on this idea or able to - pardon the pun- able to punch some holes in my proposed arrow set up.
Thanks
