Just curious does Colorado have any laws that would prevent one from going into backcountry with a bow before season open? Usually I don't get out there till after the season starts but this year I'll be getting out there earlier. I plan on going back a day or so early to scout/glass before opening day, staying back there till my hunt is over. Will there be an issue carrying my bow in day or two early?

Sweet, I appreciate it. I'm sure I'll get some funny looks walking in. I thought I be ok but just wanted to double check.

Good chance there will already be camps set up when you go in. I know guys that go in five days prior to opening day. You can carry your bow around up there anytime You want As long as you don’t shoot something out of season.

I always just suggest you don’t have an arrow knocked or ur release on if ur that worried otherwise grouse season starts sept 1. If ur bow is mounted to ur pack and everything won’t matter. Or if you have a rifle just don’t have rounds chambered it’s that simple…. Simple as as long as you don’t look like ur hunting or have super easy access to poach something no one will ask questions

Not illegal to carry your bow, or a rifle for that matter. What is illegal is shooting something out of season so you’re good.
