In the past I had the Cabelas Meindl Perfect hunter. Wore them for over 10 seasons elk hunting. The sole finally came loose and had to replace them. I went with the Kenetrek extreme hunter and they did a good job but the toe box just didn't fit my feet very well. I have a little arthritis in my big toe joint now so it is even a bigger issue for my feet these days. So I ordered the new Meindl comfort hunter and am very happy with them . I would say they have just as much support for the foot and are very well made. The toe box is just like my old boots.

I have the comfort fit hikers and really like them. I tried around 30 boots and selected those over them all.

I've got a pair of Perfekt Hikers I really like. I see they have a sale on the Ultralight Hunters but... they're made in Vietnam. Anybody got any experience with these? I need a higher boot for support on my repaired ankle.

I loved my ultralight hunters. Ive had them for 3 years and they finally started leaking where the tongue meets the toebox. I have since bought a pair of hoffman hunters that I'm liking a lot. The ultralights are still in my house though. I like em enough ill just wear em when its dry out lol.

Yeah I saw the "made in Vietnam" tag on the website. They look to be very similar to a Pronghorn or Irish Setter. I am still wearing my Meindl Cabela's from 2011. I'm thinking about buying the Perfect Hunters. So far these are the best pair of hunting boots I've ever owned. Not sure why they stopped making these unless it had something to do with having the Cabela's brand on them.

Cabela's has gone way down hill with the quality of "shit" they are selling. May as well shop at Walmart. Happy we have a Sportsman's Warehouse here........

Bass Pro Shops bought Cabela's, and they've been systematically ruining Cabela's ever since. BPS is dropping all of the higher quality Cabela's branded products from the past and replacing them with cheap BPS junk.
