GOHUNT Lightweight Hunting Pant

Do you feel like the material is thinner or the same as the Kutana? Also curious about the degree of stretch? Are the reinforced areas actually a burly feeling material or are they just double reinforced with the same?

I too love the Kutanas and tried the OV pants this year as well. I like the fit/feel/belt on the OV pants but the limited pocket design is a deal breaker for me I think. I keep them in my tote/truck strictly for packing meat or for winter time under my Blizzard bibs if I know I will never not have something over them.

If these were a cross between the two they could be a slam dunk.
Here's my take: The non-reinforced areas feel about the same amount of thickness as Kutanas but they're more similar in material to prana zion - stretchier but not as pokey brush resistant as the Kutana.
The reinforced areas, on the other hand, are a different, burlier, heavier material (not just double of the same) that do well in not letting pokey brush through. There are lots of reinforced areas throughout the pant.
Overall, they're plenty stretchy imo. Still can't speak to durability or pilling.

That’s good to hear. I personally wish the Kutanas had a little more stretch (like half that of the OV Alturas). I’d be interested to see just how water resistant those reinforced areas are, I’d like to see a pant like that with 100% waterproof seat and knees (like that of the FL Corrugate Foundry) for mid season hunts as well; between the waterproofing on the seat/knees and in combo with gaiters, you almost could entirely omit rain pants most of the year.

I think I’ll pick a pair up and offload my other pair of Alturas though and see how I like them compared to the Kutanas.
