You had the lite version? It's little different than the older one I have. Much cheaper too

I don’t know what I had, I think it was the spartan, if folded up, had a magnet to attach it to the gun. It was actually ok just at the time it was t what I wanted.

Nice!!! what did you get? I love my 308!!! I'm looking forward to playing with the 166g hammers, I even ordered some brand new brass earlier since most of mine is on its 2nd or 3rd firing at this point, I figured I'd take some time and really make some perfect ammo for this hunt.
Okay spill the beans----what could you not live without???????

Randy
Another Kimber, but an Adirondack (which I don't have, and in .308, which I also don't have). Shhhh, don't tell my wife.:)

Mine is a 10 twist, talked to the guys at hammer, they said I should pretty easily be able to get those 166s at 2900, I ordered 2 boxes to try.

Did Steve say what powder he was using to get 2900fps?

Almost all the load data he's given me was for 26" barrels.

First off, the 308 will work wonders on your hunt, BUT it’s old school go with something new, cool, like the 6.5 PRC. The only downside to that is that your 308 will turn into a safe queen. Anyway that 308 will do just fine.

I have come full circle with the newer calibers and am about to pick up a kimber .308 Montana. I just had a bunch of success with a .308.

What you already have is perfectly adequate. But what I will say is when I saw CA come out with their new Titanium Mesa and Ridgeline and then saw them chambered in 6.5 PRC my first thought was "sheep rifle". . I have had great luck with my 300 WSM Ridgeline and many of us can't justify the custom rifle prices so Christensen Arms sits in a nice little niche.
