I'm a diehard mule deer fanatic, and have been since my dad first took me hunting for them in 1971 at age 11.

Obviously the lack of guaranteed tags plays into the decision, but if money were no object, and tags were assured, I'd head straight for the Jicarilla in NM, N Utah CWMU ranch hunts, even certain places in Sonora, MX for absolutely top end bucks. Believe it or not, for big bucks in the 180-200 class there are sleeper areas such as private land West Texas that have great opportunities.

I would love to hunt E Colorado and W Kansas someday too.

Bo why you got to break out “facts” 😂???

Yea Utah, Nevada, Arizona, and Wyo seem to be best.

Honestly I doubt my home state will keep producing the bucks it does now as with the new season structure coming for the next 5 years well - it is also a fact we are living in the good old days now in Co. Better take advantage.

From what I see going on in this state, CO is pretty much done. I don't see the state ever recovering from this population increase.

Street you are 100% correct. We are in a bad way here and it is getting worse daily. We will be lucky to have hunting seasons at all in 10 years at this rate
