Glock trigger upgrade

I have your standard gen 5 G19. I’m considering a trigger upgrade between the Glock performance trigger and the Timney alpha.

Does anyone have experience with either? Which one would you pick? Install doesn’t look complicated but I’m no gunsmith.

Thanks in advance.

The Glock Performance triggers are decent but I like and prefer the Haley Strategic Skimmer trigger to it. They have a much more consistent and crisp (as crisp as a Glock trigger can get...) feel to my trigger finger.

A ghost 3.5 connector is a great start for cheap.

In my G40 I have a Zev pro I think it's called.
It's insane. Spendy but it's basically no take up. Functions very well.

Some dudes fear trigger upgrades. Others have nightmares of triggers being too heavy. Just function test it. A lot.

I just installed the Glock Performance Trigger in my G19. It’s meh. Better than factory but nothing to swoon over. Hopefully it getts better with more use.

I have a Gen4 G17 I put a Zev Pro trigger in and I also have a untouched Gen5 G19. The factory trigger in the Gen5 Glocks is certainly a noticeable improvement over the factory trigger in the Gen4's.

Having said that even though the Gen5's have a much improved trigger over the Gen4 the upgraded ZEV Pro trigger assembly I put in my Gen4 17 as you would expect is definitely better in all aspects then the factory trigger is in my Gen5 19 but it's not as big of a difference between the two as you'd expect and the ZEV Pro is supposed to be one of the best aftermarket trigger kits you can get for a Glock. The pull weight is lighter in my G17 with the ZEV and the take up is certainly shorter but again it's just not a huge difference between the two noticeable yes absolutely but not as much as you may think.

If you can install a trigger kit in a Glock you're probably capable of polishing the factory trigger parts and putting it back together. There's all kinds of youtube vids you can watch that'll walk you through how and what to polish. I'd start with doing some polishing on the factory parts and see if that satisfies you before I bought one of the aftermarket triggers.

Performance trigger is ok... I didn't love it all and all and went back to standard. Favorite glock trigger for carry would be the Johnny Glock combat trigger.

I second the Johnny Glock combat trigger. Dropped one in my 43x that I edc and it was a significant upgrade.
