Glock 20SF Gen 3 10mm: This is in excellent condition with a low round count. No modifications except Warren Sevigny Combat sights w/tritium front. Includes kydex holster and factory case/instructions. Has been flawless, just getting a different 20. Individual shipping has gotten crazy, so unless I can find an FFL to ship for a reasonable amount, this is for local sale right now. Must transfer through FFL per Colorado law. $500 in Grand Junction/Western Slope area.

Details on the sights: https://www.skdtac.com/Warren-Tactical-Sight-Tritium-Front-p/wrt.205.htm

You cant ship a handgun individually still to my knowledge so it would need to go through ffl.. which sucks because i want this!!

Must just be the usps then.. they def dont let you send handguns private party to an ffl. Has to be ffl to ffl. Atleast in oregon. 75 bucks is a ton of money.. damn!!

Yeah, I just went through this with my .44 I sold. USPS won't do it and shipping is expensive. Especially if you insure it. They are really making it hard to sell guns as a private party these days.

Having said that, I gave up my SW 329 to go to carrying my Glock 20, 10 MM, just like this one. Someone needs to buy this one. Good deal, and a great gun. If I didn't already have one I would be all over this deal.

Thanks to all for explaining the challenges of interstate pistol sales. It has become pretty much untenable for garden variety guns. Last time I did this, Fed Ex made me do first thing overnight. I just did a ballpark from Grand Junction to Chicago (chosen at random because I know a zip code there) for that using their packaging and 3 lbs. -- $135! Hope you understand why I'm pursuing other avenues. I do have an email into my FFL here to see if he'll ship it for me at a more reasonable rate which might make this doable as I would eat a bit to make up the difference. Would love to make it $525 shipped, but don't know if I can achieve that.

What kills me is that I suspect this is largely a result of Fed Ex's own problems with theft. When I managed a gun store many years ago, we ordered a Beretta 92 for a guy from Davidson's, and three times got the Fed Ex box with the plastic factory box, but no gun. Try number four was the charm and we actually got in what may have been the most expensive (to Fed Ex) 92 ever. Back then, they weren't shipped overnight. I think it was typically two day delivery.

I have been carrying a Glock 10mm of one sort of another almost since they were introduced. This is ONLY getting sold because a good friend is selling me his customized 20 with grip reduction. If I could afford to keep two, this wouldn't be going anywhere. I do most of my practice with a 19, so this is carried more than shot, and carried in an HPG Kit Bag, so pretty protected and otherwise pampered for a field gun. There is just some finish wear on the slide release, but otherwise it looks mint. The sights are vastly superior to factory sights. I'm a big believer on the 200 grain at 1200ish fps in the 10mm, and this one perks along on Underwood 200 grain JHPs nicely with no modifications.

Heard back from my FFL, and for some very valid reasons, he doesn't want to ship it for me. The hassle of USPS does not justify much of a discount on shipping for me, and this is a part time gig for him. So, unfortunately it's still a local sale. However, if you can figure out a legal way to minimize shipping so that it works for you economically, I will do what I can to make it happen. Just not seeing how to do it without making the gun way too expensive on your end or way less than it's worth on my end.

For reference, my FFL is in Loma, not far off I-70, but west of Fruita/Grand Junction. However, I'll meet at any FFL you line up from there to Rifle headed east or Montrose headed south. I'm a teacher, so off this week with rare flexibility to roam up to a point.

I have MANY more photos that I would be happy to send via text or email if you're interested. I took it down for said photos, and upon closer inspection will re-state that it is in excellent, near new, condition. Have only used factory loads. The holster is an Uncle Mike's OWB with option for paddle carry that is unused. It includes two magazines. Will throw in a box of practice type ammo since it is a face to face sale. I also found a Blade Tech IWB from back in the day when they were among the best available that I'll include for an additional $20.

Time the transfer right and I'll buy you a beer at one of our many microbreweries, and you can regale me with tales of the big ones that got away or didn't (photos required) for that matter. Since this will be the first time I've heard your stories, I promise to be attentive and my eyes will not glaze over like your wife's or buddy's who have heard it a hundred times already and just don't care anymore -- if they ever did. For a limited time I will throw in two "Wow!"s and one "That's amazing!" at strategic pauses in your story. Nodding in agreement with all portions of your tale guaranteed.

Reasonable offers considered, but no trades -- need the cash for the new 20.

What do you mean transfer through ffl per Colorado state law? U guys can’t private sale a firearm without an ffl?

Yup. Several years ago they passed a law requiring background checks for all private sales. So you have to go to an FFL and pay a background check/transfer fee. It is truly a PITA. I'm pretty glad I've consolidated my armory, and seldom have guns for sale.

Just a suggestion for the seller. Go to gunbroker. They have a section where you can locate local (to you) ffls who are willing to ship along with their prices. Some dealers do want your business. Heck, an FFL can ship USPS flat rate priority mail and save you a ton of money. Good luck with your sale.

Mattt, sorry about your hat. Hope it's a cheap one.

Big Sky, thanks for the info. I'll go back and look. Found my current FFL through Gunbroker. Grand Junction has been a black hole for FFL dealers. Mine was, quite literally, the only guy who finally returned my phone call a few years back when I bought something off of Gunbroker.

On the private sale front, I had one store front dealer dude tell me that it was illegal for him to transfer from one individual to another. That was according to the BATF agents he apparently pals with. What. A. Tool. Just say it's not your business practice, don't spout BS. His TV ads are almost as annoying as those talking about how great my back surgeon (hey, four tries is the trick) is.

Anyway, I'm living in the wild west kind of sort of as far as Colorado is concerned, but it is what it is.

To all: Happy New Year!

After the July 1, 2013 law took affect, it does get a little sketchy on transfer possession of a firearm. The original law was written so that you would have had to do a transfer to your wife or child every time they took the weapon hunting, and then transfer it back when they gave it back to you. Idiotic. They re-wrote the law, but it's still not any better.

An FFL here said that if they receive a gun in for someone, if they don't pick it up before the end of the day, then they have to "accept" the gun as their own and do a transfer. And then do another transfer to the new owner when they do pick it up. If that's the case, then I could see it being a problem even leaving one for an FFL to ship for you. CO's government and all the laws have literally gone to crap. God help you if you ever need to leave your gun at a gunsmith overnight.

Man I wish I lived close just so I could come buy that gun and have you listen to my hunting stories over a free beer(or 2) and act like you’re entertained! Lol. But seriously that was funny! Haha GLWS!

Don’t wanna hijack the op, fine pistol and I don’t think it will last long, but had a similar discussion with a guy from pa about a handgun sale and we looked it up. I must have missed co on the list of states that have these requirements.
