I recently bought a Peak 44 stock for my Weatherby Mark V, and this will be my first time bedding a stock. After doing some research, I feel somewhat confident in the process, but I’m definitely open to any tips, suggestions or processes from others. Also, I’d love to hear recommendations on the best bedding kits that have worked well for you.

Thanks guys 🤙🏻🤙🏻

Use plenty of release agent, I use kiwi tan shoe polish and it works great. For bedding marine Tex grey is a nice cost effective easy to use option. If you want to spend more devcon 10110.

I wrote up a bit of a tutorial on how I do my bedding for a friend (on a tikka though). If you like, I could pm you the link.

Of the bedding compounds I’ve used, Marine Tex is my favourite, kiwi shoe polish for release agent and plumbers putty for plugging.

Mine most assuredly needed bedding. There was quite a bit of slop with the action in the stock.

I ended up doing a full bed. I used Peak44s kit.
