After looking a packs for a few months I finally ordered a Stone Glacier Sky 5100. Most my hunts are 3-5 day hunts in September and day hunts in Nov. Im hoping it will hold all my gear ok without having to strap stuff all over it. I definitely felt like I got kicked in the gut paying 600$+ on a pack. I hope it lives up to they hype I have read. Im sure it will.

Yeah, you'll like the pack a lot. I use my Solo for hunting and use the load shelf/frame without the bag while beaver trapping. Like any other pack, give yourself time to learn how to adjust it for a perfect fit. Kurt is a great resource for this as are those of us who are avid users. Let us know when you get it!

Stone Glacier is very comfortable pack. You will like it. Only thing I go not like are lack of pockets. I would be satisfied with a water bottle pocket on each side of the pack. I want t do a backpacking/fishing trip. An outside pocket would be nice to secure a rod tube in.

You'll never regret it. Great pack and great company.
So get it bloody!

Finally got my pack. It was shipped monday which was the first day SG was open since I ordered it. It arrived Wednesday. But I was stuck training and didnt get home until tonight (Friday) I have been super anxious to finally get it and look at it and play with it.
Grabbed the box it came in....Felt like there was nothing in it! This pack is super light (SG Sky 5100) First impression is really good. I have looked at a few kifaru and kuiu packs and this thing just looks cleaner to me. Beginning to feel better about spending that much on a pack. Of course first thing I did was load up my daugher and try it on. But then I got a little more serious. I grabbed a 25# dumb bell (I know its not what I should use) wrapped it in towels and loaded it in the pack. Watched the videos on the website. Did a little tweaking and wow this thing is very very comfortable. I absolutely love the way the top portion folds down into bivy mode. It will be a perfect tight compact system for day hunts with the ability to haul some major loads on the way out. I have taken the bag off and just glanced at the load shelf. It seems plenty capable of doing anything I will ask it to. So, I am very pleased as of now. The only thing Im still questioning is how it will handle my 3-5 day pack weights of 40-50# for long periods of time. AND if I can make it work with the gear that I will be using. I think it will but it will take some creativity I believe. But what a well thought out pack. I will keep up with the impressions of it as I go.

I too have a new 5100. Plenty big for my needs. Really like the way it folds into the bivy mode which i will mostly use. With a pair of slik clips, the lid fits great in bivy mode. Two packs in one is very nice though. I can't even see a reason to buy the Sole?? I am however an organization guru. Seriously wishing it had some good exterior pockets. I am finding the 4 tiny interior pockets to be kind of useless. I got two camp pouches to go with it and i have a dozen Kifaru pullouts to work with. Time will tell. The Krux frame and suspension are way to comfortable to not make it work.

Still tweaking my Sky 7400 but it's almost there. This morning I put in over 7.5 miles in 2 hours with mine weighing a little more than 50lbs. I had to make a shoulder pad adjustment, stupid easy to do, and I think I found the sweet spot. I just wish their belts had molle webbing. Good luck and enjoy. Kurt is very helpful if you are having problems.

I just got my sky 5100 on Friday. I loaded it up with a little more gear than I needed and headed out into the mountains to break it in. I love the pack. I really like minimalist approach. I have one of the camp pockets to organize things that are small. Everything else fits well inside. I couldn't believe how it compresses when it's empty. I'm really happy about this purchase.

Same here. Wish I had this pack years ago. I will probably pick up a camp pocket or two. Then I need to see how I want to attach and work in my easton water bladder

I used to use a bladder, but I purchased the hydro holster and I like it a bunch. Cleaning the bladder and hose is a pain in the butt. The hydro holster works slick and cleaning a Nalgene bottle is pretty easy.
