Howdy,

I moved out West and joined Rokslide about a year ago. This site is a great place to be for DIY outdoorsmen. In two weeks I will be going on my first elk hunt (it's also my first hunt out West). I have the late rifle hunt for a bull in area 16B/22 in New Mexico. I have scouted it and picked a few brains, and I have a plan for where I want to go in the unit. I am just looking for any other general tips anyone may have about the area or post rut bulls.

I wish I knew more about that unit but have not hunted it yet. Just wanted to say enjoy the hunt and the time away from civilization!
