Getting a better cheek weld - Tikka T3x

I had the same problem and came up with a factory Tikka high comb from a T3 varmint or tactical model. It just uses screws to attach. Simple, easy. cheap, looks like it grew there.

This is the only pic I have of it.

I use this stock pack, it's a lot cheaper then most others, hold up great and fairly low profile. I cut the zippered pocket off the pack as I don't need anything hanging off the butt of the rifle. I have a couple other cheaper designs like the Allen that also work good. I have to put a cheek riser on about everyone of my rifles as the synthetic stocks just don't fit me well. I do have a Triad stock pack, first one I purchased thinking I needed all that but after getting it and seeing how well it worked for cheek weld I went looking for a cheaper option to add to my other rifles. Now the Triad with the pouch rests on a rifle that is hardly used and the Allen Gear pack's get hauled around on my hunting rifles.

I keep a little closed cell foam around to make spacers out of if I need to add a little height under the stock pack.

Piece of pipe insulation cut to fit.. held in place with electrical tape..

Will bring it perfect for talley mediums.

Will last a lot longer then you think. Weighs about 1 ounce

I had a similar cheek piece on a rifle for years. I used foam from a GI iso mat and athletic tape that had a little texture.

Ended up getting the Triad Tactical Stock Pack and it works perfectly, thanks all for the suggestions

I ended up with a triad. I like it on my Kimber Montana, but on my Cooper Jackson Hunter, the bolt hits it when I want to remove the bolt.

i have high cheek bones and on my tikka it even hits slightly. either your scope is higher on one gun or the comb is higher. either way you can add or remove velcro to get it correct. for me, i need the height so i just deal with the low clearance.

as far as the pouch. i keep ammo or a mag and a few finger condoms for the end of the barrel. i also keep an allen key for my scope.
