I have a sample of this rangefinder with GPS capabilities for testing and review. $2500 has some sticker shock for sure. Is the investment worth it? Lets find out.

Have any Roksliders put this one to the test? What questions do you have? What are some use applications you think a rangefinder with this kind of GPS capability is going to be most useful? Stay tuned to this thread for a full review and updates.

I received one as a gift. I haven't had much time to play with it yet. I can say the laser is very good and I like that you can change the colors of the reticle/info display. The reat of the features I haven't tried. The glass is also very good for a monocular range finder. I also cold soaked it at around -14 degrees if I remember correctly for 32-48 hrs. It worked as it should.

After more time with the L60i, I’m finding the full color display and live map in the device to be pretty impressive.

There is a lot going on in this rangefinder.

Any updates on this LRF? I'm really tempted to buy one. How does the glass compare to the Leica LRF?

The optics are really, really good for a laser rangefinder. Optical performance was a design priority for Garmin. This is especially impressive given the engineering challenges that come with integrating a full color display.

There is so much going on with this rangefinder the review may need to be split into a series.

My daughter works for Garmin so I can get at a very significant discount, but a bit rich for my blood. I still need to play with one a bit, but for now, I don't really have much need for a lot of the functionality. It does look really cool though.
