Garmin Instinct 3 drops Jan 10th

The Garmin Instinct 3 looks to be dropping on January 10th.

45mm and 50mm options in new AMOLED display and a Solar model non-amoled display and "E" version in 40mm.

I won't be an early adopter but will probably upgrade my original instinct tactical after seeing how release goes and what other models come out.

How do these compare to a fenix?

It's essentially a fenix-lite. The screen is a nice upgrade, but it doesn't have the updated heart rate sensor (uses elevate 4, not 5), no mapping, and not touch screen. Depends on your wants and needs - there are so many options from Garmin it gets a bit confusing.

I love that there are so many options, can get the watch ya want without too many extras ( but there are so many extras). I'll keep my instinct 2x for a good while but the 3 looks pretty sweet!
