Garmin inReach ?

I have been an inReach owner user for years. Have the Explorer and use earthmate app on my phone.

I just purchased a second inReach, a mini 2.

My question for experienced users, how difficult would it be to unlink my phone and phone # from my explorer so I could give it to my son and he use it with his phone? Then I would link up my phone with the mini 2.

Advice on if its feasible and if so, how to go about doing it would be appreciated.

Just factory reset it. You can repair to a different account and phone.

You can remove your old Inreach from the Earthmate App in your account area.

I think for this weekend's hunt, I will just have the new unit paired up with my son's phone. Maybe work on switching it out later.
