I have tried a handful of differnt cameras over the past few years. I have had the best results with the Bushnell HD series. Easy to use and good picture quality. I think they retail for about $150, but can usually find them on sale for under $100 a few times year.

I've used Bushnell, Moultrie, and Spy Pointe. No difference between any of them. Only had trouble with a Bushnell and it was a software error and they replaced the camera.

I don't think there is much difference in any of them. They are all likely made in the same place and then slap a proprietary cover on them to be sold. They are electronic, small computers that get left outside all the time. They are going to fail and have problems. Take your pick of those that have the features you want at a good price.

we run just the moultrie game spy a5 gen 2.
recently picked them up for 49.99 shipped each on amazon, price looks like its crept back up to 60, but so far we've been happy with them for the money.

Really liking the Brownings right now. Good price and works well. Trailcampro should have all the info you need to make a solid choice.

A friend recommended the browning. I can get the stealth cam and lock box for $111. Although rethinking it, I may be better off getting two cheaper ones for that price

I've been very happy with the Bushnells. Good battery life, handle the weather, super compact, decent pics and video. I've caught them on sale at Cabelas a couple times for cheap. I have a few browning cameras as well. Great value considering the price. Although I find them far more sensitive to light, where it takes pictures due to sunlight hitting the camera. Not a huge issue, but annoying if you have a lot of photos to go through. I've heard good things about Covert as well

Everybody says browning cams are awesome. The reviews are great. I disagree. I have 4 kinds of brownings and i flat out dont trust them. My fav is the bushnell x8 which is a 2012 model. The new aggressors are good too, but i dont trust them as much. Ive put both the x8 and the aggressor mounted side by side with browning spec ops, dark ops and strike force, for the sake of science. I look at the browning cards and think hey, these cams are good. Then i look at the cards from the bushnells. Wtf? The bushnells are taking pics of animals that werent there according to the brownings. Everything from moose and lions to ground squirrels. Do yourself a favor and get on ebay and look up bushnell x8. Should be able to find them for about $100. And skip the bear boxes and cables, that crap just makes it easier for thieves to see them, but doesnt stop a determined thief. Get a slate river ez aim mount. Trailcampro.com sells em for $25. Then use a few screw in tree steps and hang that bad boy 12 ft up. Nobody will see it.

I have 4 of those exact cameras. They are well build and will last the test of time. I also like how they are not to heavy so that when you pack them in you don't have to worry about weight.

This is pure speculation, but if you are hanging them 12 feet in the air that might be some of the reason you missing animals with the Browning cameras. Again, that's just speculation. You obviously have more experience with trail cams than me so I appreciate your insight. I'll have to check in to some Bushnell's.

Ive done these tests on my own property with cams at eye level. I only hang up high on public land.

That's good information. Makes me wonder what my dad has been missing with his Browning cam the last couple of years.

Do yourself a favor and go to Game & Trail Camera Reviews and Buying Guides: TrailCamPro – Trailcampro.com, look at their reviews/star ratings, and purchase the best one that fits your needs/wants through them. Their customer service is top notch, and if/when you have any warranty issues, their two-year warranty is awesome, and they take care of you quickly and professionally. ...and they have great prices.

I'm partial to bushnell and tasco. They have an outlet store here in KC and I get them super cheap. Great customer service and If one gets stolen or broken, I'm not out much money.

Can't view the photo, but I just don't get why two cams side by side, one would miss a pic. Different sensors?

Yeah it happens all the time. Well within brownings advertised detection range. Theyre just inferior products imo
