I have found that First Lite's smaller light weight gaiters are perfect for when you don't really need them but don't want to notice your gaiters. I love mine. I wear them constantly and dont notice any difference in temp regulation.

mine stay on until i get up to high and dry ground for the day in the mountains. Got a good 8 seasons out of my kuiu's but they are in shambles
