Gail Root History

I’ve read several references to Gail Root, who worked at Nosler and designed the 95 BT for big game. I’ve tried reading up on this but all my Google-fu brings up is forum posts all saying the same thing. Are there any more definitive sources anyone could point me towards? I’m curious about this whole scenario as I’m about to buy a 243. Maybe old reloading manuals?
