What are your favorite layers and setup?

I really like Gaia, and just re-upped my subscription, but I haven't found that combination of layers that really gets me everything I want. It seems that when I get it really dialed close, I'm still missing something. Place names and landmarks (e.g., mountains, rivers, roads, etc.) seem to be the most difficult to achieve well.

I attached one of my favorite setups for general use. I'll play with a lot of the other layers depending on what I'm doing.

Look up how to add Google Earth to Gaia.

Also need to add a Topo layer like USGS or Gaia’s proprietary Topo map.

I use similar layers. Private land, game units, USFS roads and trails, USFS Recreation sites, google earth, and USGS topo.

Yeah, I need to get the earth layer added. I started down that path at some point, then forgot about it.

I just loaded the FS rec sites the other day - I like that one too. Ton of FS land around me.

I have only been using GAIA for a little over a month but have been a fan of Satellite by MapQuest, GAIA Topo, Nat Geo Maps Illustrated and / or USGS Topo, I have also found Slope Angle can be beneficial to find bedding areas in thick trees since you can identify benches easier
