Anyone using one as a light set and forget scope? Thinking about picking one up for a backup rifle. Cameraland has them on sale for $144 at the moment.

I'd like to see how the sub tensions line up with my trusty old '06.

We are pretty big fans of the Burris Ballistic Plex in our home. I have Fullfield II 3-9x40 on two rifles currently. One a Browning Abolt in 7mm-08 and one on my Knight Muzzleloader. Been extremely reliable and usable. The Hash mark values are meant to work based on the "highest magnification" of that scope. So...they work on 9x, but the yardage is different for the related hash marks on different powers. But my son missed a large buck a few years ago because he didn't remember to move his magnification to 9x to use the hash mark. He missed completely and we both still argue over who's fault that was. Considering his age, it was MY fault.

I have been using the Strelok app, and find that tool very helpful calculating the various hash marks at various magnifications. Been really handy.

I will be putting my Burris Signature Select 3-10x40 on my new Muzzleloader that Santa is bringing. That scope was awesome on my 7mm Rem Mag for years, but has been sitting idle for a couple of years now. Excited to put it to use.

The calculator on the Burris website makes it simple, you can print a chart from it for any or multiple magnifications

As Firehawk said, the StrelokPro app is great and when your environmental conditions change, just punch in the new data in the app and it will provide your new hash mark ranges. I’ve had great luck with it. Just verify the ranges before your hunt. I just took a screen shot for my fullfield e1 on my AR with 55 gr btsp to give you an example. Good luck!

I have several and they line up fine if you play around with the ranges. You may need to sight in with a 200 yard zero or something like 1.3” high at 100yrds to get the POI closer to the remaining hash marks. I have one on a 300wm for years and another on a 260 rem. I’ve also used apps to help but starting with the ammo mfg data, the reticle data from Burris, and a small amount of range time works fine.
