Recently came across some videos on youtube that document the the fallout from the reactor in Japan. The mainstream press has been very quiet bout' this. It's been a few years but apparently those particles are still floating around. They show a simulation map of how they have migrated in the jetstream to the west coast and into the western US mainland, as far inland as eastern Colorado. Apparently the microscopic radioactive sesium eventually falls out of the atmosphere and into the water and soil. Takes 10 years to loose it's radioactivity. Made me think a little about my planned trip out west this fall for elk... maybe I should run a gieger counter over the meat before I consume it. Apparently some mutated corn is showing up this year in Oregon. Anybody else hear any info from our western states?

This isn't just limited to the back country of the western U.S. The radioactive cloud actually moved into Europe, most of the U.S has been hit with it. I believe it was estimated that 14k people died in the U.S. w/in a few months of the accident because of it. Even now it's definitely worse than foods you buy at the store. Boise; Kansas City; Salt Lake City; Jacksonville, FL; Olympia, WA; and Boston had some of the highest levels of radioactivity after the explosion.
