A good rule of thumb is that if there are any extra hoops than there normally are, something is up. If someone wants you to email someone else and they don't have the item themselves, alarms should be going off.

My buddy had 2 of those last week. Uncle got in an accident and is partially paralyzed and wants to see his scopes go to people who will use them. Be careful!

They’re getting smart. Join date was 2019 and he even had a positive feedback. The positive feedback was from an equally new person. Wtb ads are sketchy. Use extreme caution.

Just curious what do they get out of you emailing them? Try to access your computer? Or something?

They try and get you to send $; and then never send product... I think that is why they target optics and higher end items. Not Kifaru pouches for $30

The Mods on Snipers Hide have stories of dealing with them folks. Talk of it being foreign organized crime.
Makes since. Seems they always type as if English isn’t their first language. And they try and use silly greetings making them sound like they are trying way to hard.

But why do they want you to email them? Why not just communicate via the forum and make the "deal" here?

Good question?

Maybe they’re sending lots of messages out daily. They’re the hunter. Then the email recipient is the account manager? Not sure?

I wonder if @robby denning has ever looking into one of these guys personal messages and seen if they’re sending exorbitant amounts of PM? Maybe a good way of identifying them? Or maybe limit the number of PM based on status? Probably too much work.

hey man, I don’t have that level of access as an admin, that’s probably clear up the scale to Ryan. I usually find that if you guys have sniffed them out it’s pretty safe call to ban them. I don’t take a lot more steps than that. I’ve done it dozens of times and not once have we banned someone legitimate that I know of. How would I know? Because they always find a way to get a hold of you if it wasn’t legit.

@realunlucky thanks for banning that scammer
