Just curious, do any of you guys build your pack with components from different manufacturers? Or different pieces and parts from the same manufacture but different pack?

My Kuiu has a Kifaru gun bearer upper, Seek bottle holster, and Seek Talon. All work together perfectly. Closest I've gotten to one lol.

I've used my mr nice frame with Kifaru bags. My nice frame is wearing a bag by pods 8 right now.

I have an MR NICE frame that actually fits me decently. I am thinking of frankenpacking it since I don't really feel like spending an additional 2-300$ to get a new frame. It is heavier than a comparable Kifaru duplex light, but it's really really durable.

Looking to get my first pack. Are most the frames, belts and packs compatible or is it hit and miss?

I had a Kifaru with an EXO 5500 on it and that same frame now has had two different Kuiu's on it. Also use a 24" Bikini frame with a Kuiu 3200 as my hunting day pack.
Buying an Exo K3 soon and may put my Kuiu 5500 on it.

I have run a Krux frame with a MR Hitchhiker for years... love this setup especially for 2-3 day bivy hunts.

I rigged kifaru packs to an MR frame and vice versa a while back. It can work but it wasn’t ideal. I still run an ILBE on a nice frame. That is the cheapest heav6 hauler option around.

I have a KUIU Pro 5500 bag on my Kifaru frame. I don't know why Kifaru won't build a pack with good pockets. I guess they make too much money selling them separate.

I want to do something similar with my exo5500. How are you connecting the two? Do the buckles line up or did you have to make modifications?

The buckles line up but you need new ones. The exo uses 3/4" buckles and kifaru uses 1". I bought my 3500 on here and he was using it on a kifaru frame so had already swapped out the buckles.

I also have several kifaru bags, mountain rambler, woodsman, and reckoning, but still prefer the exo 3500 bag for most of what I do.

Yes, I've put a Kuiu Ultra 4000 on both a Kifaru frame and a Seek outside Revolution frame. I've also put a Seek Outside Fortress 4800 bag with a mesh Talon on Kifaru frame. I added a Xpac meat shelf to the Kuiu Ultra 4000. It is used for day hunting and 2-3 nights. I packed out an elk last season with it on a Kifaru frame. I'm thinking of using this next season on the Seek Outside frame.

Awesome. How well did the Kuiu bag integrate with the Seek frame? I have an Ultra and a Pro bag that I'm thinking about mounting to the Revolution (which I dont yet have)

I mix and match pockets on Kifaru frame and pack - especially for belt accessories - all personal preference

I have a similar setup except with an Exo K3 3200 on a duplex lite. I used 3 of the Exo k3 lid strap kits (6 total straps—4 for attaching the bag and 2 for attaching the lid).
