Just got a Franchi Affiinity Elite in 20 gauge. No stores within 100 had any in stock for forseable future so just went for it. Everything is great except for trigger reach. When i lay it on top my winchester sxp, the grip is about .5 to .75 inches back from the winchester. Not a dealbreaker, just a bit longer of a reach to get a good grip on the trigger and feels slightly akward. I think i can get used it and i probably wouldnt of even noticed if i didnt have another shotgun to reference. In someways, it may be advantageous since it sort if forces me to use my finger pad instead on crease. Could help with accuracy a smidge.

Anyone experience this and come up with any solutions? Ive seen some other comments around, so im not the first to notice this. Thinking about calling Franchi, but highly doubt they have a different stock with reduced trigger reach.

I had the same concerns regarding trigger reach initially, but it wasn’t an issue at all. I was able to adjust without really any effort and now I have 3 of them. They’re great shotguns.

Quick update for anyone else who runs into this. Fired 50 rounds today and finger reach felt natural. Shot really well. Out of 50 shells, it didnt feed one. Pretty good for first round

I have the same gun only in 12ga. I also noticed the longer trigger reach. I got used to it and shot it for a few years that way. I then saw they made a recoil pad that reduces the reach, I don't remember by how much, but I installed it and I wish I would have done it sooner. Made it feel much better.

I’ve had this same issue. But I use mine for a turkey gun so I’m guessing I’m trying to make it feel more like a rifle and maybe for wing shooting this is better? I’m not sure.. but the trigger reach feels way long and mine is a compact model AND my hands are large.
