I have a Forloh BTM Jacket inbound after the success I had last winter with the Forloh BTM Pant -->https://www.rokslide.com/forloh-btm-pro-pant-review/

My comparables are the First Lite Corrugate (100% nylon/unlined/imported) and a Beyond Rig Jacket (100% nylon shell/fleece lined/USA made) that are only slightly water/wind resistant, but pretty tough. My goal is to find a tough sub 20oz jacket that can best these others in breathability, win, and water resistance, while still being as tough.

Should be here in a few days, what do you want to know?

In the forloh family, the All-clima soft shell is a performer. Excellent wind resistance, excellent rain/water resistance and decent breathability with pit zips, i wore this jacket on a drizzly to rainy low to mid 40’s day with a t shirt and underarmor quarter zip (essentially a second light base layer as well) under while shed hunting, so i was moving quite a bit. It kept me very comfortable, dry, handled brush well (nothing super aggressive but some briars and thick stuff) and was quiet enough to allow me to stalk to within 40 yards of two whitetail doe (noise didn’t bust me, intentional movement did). If the BTM doesnt fit your role, look at the All-clima soft shell as it is a very nice jacket.

This showed up today and I am excited to see it is completely made of the wax Nylon/Cotton. It seems to be exactly what I am after in construction and organization.

However, the size chart is off and I have to exchange it. I measure a 45" chest with broad shoulders, and 36" sleeve length. I would typically order a 2XL top. With the Forloh BTM Pant review I wrote last winter I thought the sizing was too large for stated size. I also have exchanged a Forloh Raider Anorak in 2XL for and XL. I ordered this BTM Jacket in an XL due to both of those experiences.

The size chart has me in a medium....

Here's the fit with a heavy merino piece underneath. Across the back, shoulders, and I to the biceps is too tight in motion. Sleeve length is short in my mind but might work for some who don't want excess there.

Big big hand pockets

The chest pockets won't fit my very large Google pixel pro, but do fit a galaxy. The chest pockets are mesh on the inside, so it would be easy to loop in a carabineer with cord to clip in keys, or keep a phone battery warm with your chest.

The interior of the hand pockets create a dump pocket as well.
