I think there's only one manufacturer selling them right now, Delta Team Tactical. Beware of scams and fake websites. Probably fake if its not an FRT-15L3 and it's not $500+

I don't own one or know anyone that does.

Looks like the delta team version is improved and offers a selectable semi auto vs frt. the original rare breed did not. They were frt only and from what I understand hard to do just a single shot. There is also the super safety from Hoffman tactical. Slick design, but not sure how well it would hold up long term.

I would expect legislation at some point in time as they are effectively a machine gun while not meeting the definition of one. They do not meet the definition as the trigger is pulled each time, but in reality the shooting experience is similar.

That's why I want to get one before they actually do get banned

I don’t own one personally, but from what I’ve seen they are constantly in and out of legal jeopardy.

I suppose the real question here is not whether they work as advertised, but why do you want one and is it worth the hassle of having to keep up with the legal back and forth?

If it’s just for fun then sure, go for it. But they have little practical applications in my view.

Right now it looks like there will need to be legislation to ban them based on the Supreme Court ruling on bump stocks. In an ideal world the nfa gets overturned, but I don’t think there is the political will or desire by everyone who already owns a transferable machine gun to overturn it. A second best solution is that when they ban them they open the machine gun registry to allow frt’s and binary triggers to be machine guns. That would be in line with how they handled the pistol brace fiasco.

Just for fun.. nothing practical. And I want one before a bunch of clowns tell me I can't. Once it's in my possession I'm not worried about anything. It's mine and I'm not getting rid of it

Didn’t the bump-stock ban get reversed? I have a friend who registered a bunch of lowers as SBRs when they allowed that for free and now he is stuck with a ton of inconveniences 😂

Here is the bump stocks ruling. https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/23pdf/22-976_e29g.pdf Legally a semi auto.

A sbr is only a hassle to sell. Ie you are not going to. Other than that not a big deal unless you do a lot of interstate travel. If you do that, simply build a different lower that is a non nfa configuration and use that when you travel. Heck you can buy a completer lower from psa for under $150. Besides who doesn’t need extra AR’s laying around.

Yeah that’s the problem. My friend SBR’ed all of his ARs and now he can’t travel out of the state with them easily and he can’t sell them easily. Also he doesn’t have a trust set up so he can’t even let anyone else borrow them unless he is also present.
