Is there enough meat on a 1/2 thread for a suppressor for 280AI? I was under the impression that is too thin for most centerfires.

I have a 300 Win, 7mm rem, 7mm-08, 270, and this 280 AI which are all threaded 1/2x28, and all shoot great with suppressors via a 1/2x28 to 5/8x24 adapter which is very common, and easy to find. On sporter barrels a 1/2x28 is very common, whereas generally all of your carbon/sendero contours are going to be 5/8x24.

Not the OP but my ULA 308 was threaded 1/2x28 by Melvin
